The Question Nobody Asks
I've been in the room. The birth room, the death room, the rooms in between. Unofficially before it was official. Four years as a birth doula — in hospitals, at home, in the liminal spaces nobody trains you for. And sixteen years of Ayurvedic practice, ceremony, and energy work running underneath all of it.
And then I drive home alone.
The thing nobody talks about is what it costs. Not just physically. Energetically. Spiritually. The way the work accumulates in the body when there's no container for it. The way the healthcare system treats doulas like pleasant accessories rather than sacred practitioners. The way we work in silos, holding everything, held by no one.
After the Holding is the container built for what comes after you do all the holding. What I've learned across years of practice — ceremony, energy protection, the sacred dimension of this work, sustainable practice, and the real, unfiltered experience of what it means to walk with people through the passages that matter most. Not a certification. A container.
The Container
A weekly gathering for doulas, death workers, and birthworkers. I show up, read the room, and lead from what's alive — what's being carried, what's being asked, what the work is asking of us right now. Not a webinar. A council. Come as you are.
Years of Ayurvedic practice, ceremony, energy work, birth doula experience, and death work distilled into a living curriculum — hospitals, energy protection, the physical toll, the spiritual cost, the silo problem. This is the apprenticeship in sustainable, sacred practice that no certification program offers. Not a course. A calling answered.
